JOB TITLE: ATF Program Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Adult Training Facility

REPORTS TO: ATF Supervisor

SUMMARY: Assists the Adult Training Facility Supervisor.  Assists in group and individual sessions with individuals as determined by their needs.  Assists ATF DSPs with training on goals for individuals.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\

  • Attends meetings and in-services as required.
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Adult Training Facility Supervisor as related  to the classroom schedule.
  • Adhere and comply with the school policies, rules, regulations and procedures as indicated in the Policy and Procedures Manual of Royer-Greaves School for Blind.
  • Responsible for coordinating the training of the direct service workers in the content of health and safety needs relevant to each individual.
  • Responsible for health, safety and welfare of all individuals.
  • Responsible for ensuring all fire safety provisions outlined in the regulations.
  • Responsible for assuring all training requirements of each direct service worker are met.
  • Participates as a member of Committees, including but not limited to:  the management team, Emergency Preparedness, Risk Management and Quality Assurance.
  • Coordinating and  completing assessments on individuals.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulation outlined in Chapter 2380.
  • Participate in the development of the ISP, including annual updates and revisions of the ISP
  • Attend ISP meetings
  • Filling the role of plan lead, as application, annual update and revision of the ISP and ISP review and revisions.
  • Reviewing the ISP, annual updates and revisions for content accuracy.
  • Reporting content discrepancies to the Supports Coordinators, as applicable, and plan team members.
  • Implementing the ISP as written, once approved.
    • Inventory review of items used in ATF.
  • Supervising, signing and dating the monthly documentation of an individual’s participation and progress toward outcomes.
  • Reporting a change related to the individuals needs to the Supports Coordinator, as applicable, and plan team members.
  • Reviewing the ISP with the individual as require under Regulation 2380.
    • Assists with coverage when there are staffing shortages.
    • Documenting the review of Quarterlies as required by Regulation 2380.
  • Documenting the review of the ISP as required under Regulation 2380.
  • Provide the documentation of the ISP review to the Supports Coordinator, as applicable, and plan team members as required under Regulation 2380.
  • Informing plan team members of the option to decline the ISP review documentation as required under Regulation 2380.
  • Recommending a revision to a service or outcome in the ISP as provided under Regulation 2380.
  • Coordinating the services provided to the individual.
  • Coordinating the support services for the family.
  • Coordinating the training of the family in the content of health and safety needs relevant to each individual.  Also core requirements outlined in the regulations.
  • Developing and implementing provider services as required under Regulation 2380.
  • Required to attend and participate in program concerts, plays, and special events, some of which may be held on Saturday or Sunday.’
  • Train on Setworks and supervises its implementation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Work collaboratively with lead instructor/CPS coordinator to ensure CPS is fully planned and implemented.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Indirectly supervises approximately 20 employees within the ATF.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year work experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
    • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years work experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
    • An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years work experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Pennsylvania State Police background check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Cogent (FBI) fingerprint scan and report, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse, Driver’s License, 10 Year Employment Related Record
