ATF Direct Support Professional

JOB TITLE: ATF Direct Support Professional DEPARTMENT: Adult Training Facility REPORTS TO: ATF Supervisor

SUMMARY: Assists the Adult Training Facility Instructor. Assists in group and individual sessions with individuals as determined by their needs and documentation.

ATF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the ATF Supervisor for daily assignment.
  • Assists in all components in the training of multi-handicapped blind individuals.
  • Attends meetings and in-services as required.
  • Escort individuals on field trips and/or activities as needed.
  • Drives the company vehicle for community activities.
  • Ensure individuals are fully engaged in meaningful community activities.
  • Escort to and assist individuals in the swimming pool.
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Adult Training Facility Instructor as related to the classroom schedule.
  • May be assigned 1:1 duties with an individual client.
  • Assists in fire drills and accident prevention according to procedures indicated in the school Employee Manual.
  • Required to attend and participate in program concerts and plays, some of which may be held on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • Assists with ADL (personal care activities) of individual assigned to.
  • Ensure individual’s personal belongings are protected and accounted for at all times.
  • Ensure goals are completed and documented according to the ISP.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed prior to end of shift.
  • Light cleaning and meal preparation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year’s experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma.
  • Pennsylvania State Police background check
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI fingerprint scan and report
  • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse Training
  • 10-Year Employment-Related Driving Record
